A Local plus assignment is a simpler and more economical method of sending an employee to work in a different country, compared to the International Long Term Assignment Package. This is recommended if your company has a small number of international assignments per year and no dedicated resource to manage assignments. The local plus is a host based model meaning that local employment terms are offered including a local salary with additional allowances to make the assignment attractive. Local plus is suggested for a long-term assignment of at least 2 years and is frequently used for assignments into Asia and Middle East. Tax equalisation is not part of the arrangement.
