For SOLAS (Safety of Life at Sea convention), July 1st has come and gone and we are now in the aftermath.

Currently, despite everyone holding their breath, it seems that no shocking developments have (yet) occurred. Some of our offices are now seeing the first invoices for weighing services come in, so additional costs are now a fact. It can be stated that this is the first tangible change, in those countries which already are compliant and where the actual weighing is now taking place. We are monitoring how this will unfold.

As mentioned previously, not all countries are developing at the same pace and the disparity is still remarkable.
