RES Forum - Transforming the model of GM advice!

Dear RES Forum members,

A new year, a new start, and the RES Forum has some exciting news to share with you, our members.
Back in July 2015, I took some time to sketch out in, a RES blog post, what I thought the world might look like from a GM perspective in 2020 – the original post can be found at https://theresforum.com/mobility-2020-july-2015/

As 2019 lies before us, much of the change predicted has become a reality! Geopolitical volatility and uncertainty continues to consume people’s attention, companies continue to compete for a diminishing talent pool, compliance regulations evolve faster & faster, we see change in our industry and in the companies we work for left and right, and technology gathers pace as it disrupts everything!

Amongst all this, the RES Forum has continued to grow, evolve and deliver value to our global membership. In 2018 we ran signature events throughout EMEA, APAC and the US, and more than 400 companies signed up to use our policy analytics tools. In addition, our research, which we conducted in partnership with Cranfield University, Newcastle University and Leuphana University, has been placed and syndicated in everything from mainstream press to specialist HR & relocation industry journals.

2019 will be a key year for us. We will cement our evolution from what we were when we formed in 2006; a group of friends with a passion for the topic of GM and international HR. In 2019, our business will be primarily built around:
* Analytics including the launch of our new Risk Metrics tool in partnership with E&Y, Anvil & MSI
* E-learning & accreditation solutions, as already used by multiple RES members and industry clients
* Research on hot topics & emerging trends, fully digital and distributed worldwide
* E-commerce, via our soon to be launched software brand ReedgeHR

All of course wrapped up in our usual exciting series of events and other fun & unique ways for members to collaborate with us and with each other.

The graphic above charts our course from 2006 to the present – how far we have come!

As a RES Forum member, you are part of the world’s largest community of In-house Global Mobility and International HR professionals, with over 1700 Members working in 801 Companies in 41 countries around the globe. *|IF:ARCHIVE_PAGE|*Poorly structured assignment agreements can be hugely expensive for organisations. Often, they can result in unexpected taxation liabilities in both countries for both employer and employee. Without standard policies, every assignment is effectively treated as an exception. Neither the employer nor employee is satisfied with the result.
The RES Forum are supporting Mobility Professionals by providing a high quality, comprehensive and fully compliant global key assignment documentation repository. These ready-to-use documents allow companies to move and assign employees quickly and efficiently and de-risk the process.
